Golden Retriever Club of Scotland ran its Breed Stake Open at Craigie Farm near Leuchars on Friday - with grateful thanks to Keeper, Jamie Horne - Deer Scotland Ltd - for allowing us to hold our Trials on his ground - Jamie has been extremely generous with his time, as he also looked after our AV Novice Trial earlier in the month. We had a great group of Guns, who shot well for us - and a very hard working spaniel.

Extremely grateful to the Judges who gave their time and travelled from the South to judge for us - Glyn Coupar, John Lees, Philippa Williams and Polly Dunckley. Judges decided not to award a first place but awarded 2nd place and the Ardyle Trophy to John Williamson with his bitch,Tealcreek Isla, and third place to Jill Gardner, with her dog, Holway Flint of Foxcote - Jill also collected the Marjorie Waters Memorial Trophy for highest placed Lady and she also took home the newly gifted trophy - Talichgold Quaich for Guns Choice - thanks to all competitors for creating a lovely friendly trial, and special thanks to those who travelled great distances to support the club. Thanks also to all those who took time out to explain the goings on of a trial to Jan Neilson, and made her very welcome.
