The day started by walking through a grass field down towards the duck pond, A small drive started with the guns swiftly bring ducks down for picking, We then moved through a wood and into thick sieves, grassland with a burn running on the left side, A couple of spaniels worked in front pushing the birds up and the guns continued shoot well. By the time we had reached the end of the field there were 3 dogs remaining. A second pond gave the guns another opportunity to shoot some more ducks. All 3 dogs were tried on a bird on the pond and trial was over,
