Online Breed Appreciation Day

The KC have given GRCS confirmation to allow us to hold an Online Breed Appreciation Day (BAD) and Multiple Choice Exam. This online event will be held on Sunday 30th May at 10am via Zoom.

The Online BAD event comprises of a Breed talk which aims to provide or reinforce the basic knowledge to establish a Candidate/Judge’s understanding and appreciation of the Golden Retriever breed, with a view to take the subsequent Multiple Choice Breed standard exam.**

The Speaker for our online BAD is Mr J Richardson.

The cost for the BAD and Multiple Choice Exam is available to aspiring judges at a cost of £10. Limited spaces are available.  Please book your space by emailing Carol Henry, GRCS Secretary, secretarygrcs@btinternet.com

If you wish to be a spectator to learn more about the purpose and construction of the Golden Retriever Breed, you can do so – the cost is £5 per person. Please indicate your interest to Carol on the email noted above.

**Subject to eligibility – For those who wish to sit the Exam the following must be completed before the day:  Candidates must either be already approved to award CC’s in a Breed or must be at least a Level 1 Judge, appearing on “Find a Judge” for the relevant breed. If a BAD is held before the online system is available, the organisers will accept on trust if a candidate states they meet Level 1 requirements as shown below-

1 Have a proven interest of a minimum 5 years in pedigree dogs

2 Completed a minimum of 2 full days of Stewarding appointments

3 Attended a ‘KC requirements of a Dog Show Judge (RDSJ) Seminar – (not mandatory to pass the exam)

4 Attended a Kennel Club Conformation and Movement Seminar
